Gearing up for Summer!

So many new things to share!  One of my proudest recent accomplishments is the partnership with Angie Dail of Little Orange House Photography to create LiLi Wedding Photography.    We have had an amazing time collaborating with each other and other new business ventures such as Chloe Jenkins of Blooming Events Design.   Our work has been displayed in the May Issue of Sandpoint Living Local Magazine - All things Weddings and Wine.

Currently, I have two pieces on display at the "All Things Undressed" art show in the POAC Gallery on 1st Street.  The pieces were a product of an epic photo shoot I collaborated with my friend and fellow photographer L. Halcro and ultra talented and creative hair dresser extrodinare Dawn Evans from Sand Creek Salon.    Talk about energy and left brain overload as we all were extremely enthralled in creating something unique and beautiful.    I can't wait to all work together again.

Right now, I am gearing up for Senior Portraits!!  If you know of a 2017 Senior please have them contact me!  Get your seniors to have the best, most creative portraits for a reasonable price.

Looking forward to Fall .....

After a long, hot and dry summer I am really looking forward to the cooler weather and the changing colors that Autumn brings.   I expect most of us locals of the NW will be feeling the same way.   Since my last post in July a few more exciting things have happened with my little business.     Some of the highlights have been selling one of my Train photos displayed at the Tango Cafe in Columbia Bank and went to Mr. Ben Stein!  I mean it's always exciting to sell a piece of artwork but to someone famous was beyond anything I could imagine.  I was very honored that he took an interest in one of my photos.

Other news  my first Ancillary Gallery display is up in Potlatch Credit Union in Ponderay and will remain until October.  If you have a chance please stop in and some of my artwork displayed and remember it's all available for purchase.

In October Pend Oreille Art Council will be hosting a "New Women Photographers" gallery display in which I will have about 10 new pieces displayed.

This last month I teamed up with Angie Dail of Little Orange House Photography to photograph weddings.   We have had an amazing time learning from each other and working hard improving our skills.    I think we are both surprised how much we enjoy it and work well with one another.   I expect we will be doing many more weddings in the future.

Lastly, many of  Landscapes have been uploaded to Fine Art America where you can purchase my artwork on anything from a coffee mug to a fine framed art.     Please visit my site today and keep coming back to my website and new photos are being uploaded all the time.

Until next time...

Summer in Sandpoint.... doesn't get any better

Hello friends!

Summer has arrived here in Sandpoint! It's so gorgeous outside, the sun is bright and my garden is taking off.   News to report for Lisa Turner photography - where to start?   Well I have recently submitted three more of my photos printed on metal sheets by (R &R Color, in Spokane- they are awesome- highly recommend) to Columbia bank to be displayed for the 38th Sandpoint Art Walk Exhibit put on by POAC.   The opening reception is Friday, June 19th and I hope to see some familiar faces there.   Please come and support local artists of all mediums this summer!

Three more of my pieces will be on display at Potlatch Credit Union in Ponderay, ID.   Nick Phillips the awesome branch manager has graciously requested my lighthouse photos be displayed in his branch, so I am very excited to comply with his request!   I hope you can go by and see them and they are for sale.. hint hint.

Recently I have signed on with Sandpoint Living Local Magazine to be a contributing photographer.   They chose one of my photos I submitted for their cover of the July issue!  So I am just thrilled with this. In exchange for my photo Living Local Magazine designed my first color ad promoting my business to be in next month's issue too.   Kayla Flint a local teenager of Sagle, Idaho jumped in to model for me with the American Flag and had we a blast during her session.     Her and I are both excited to see the picture in next month's issue.  So look out for it!

And lastly I have recently joined the POAC Visual Arts and Media committee to help with events during the year.  I will be assisting with hanging art for the upcoming Art Walk Exhibit and I am sure lots more.  Fun group of gals!  Love meeting other fellow artists and being involved in the community.    I am living my dreams....

News is Springing Up!

With new blooms comes new news!  It's been awhile since my last blog entry so I decided to sit and type it out before I forget some of the exciting things happening.  So to start off,  I am excited to announce that I have just become a member of POAC - Pend Oreille Arts Council.   Some of my train photos are being printed now as I type this to be displayed in Downtown Sandpoint.   If you are a local or lucky enough to come visit our gorgeous town keep an eye out for some of my photos which will be displayed in this Summer's Art Walk.

In other news, my family and I were able to travel to the east coast in early April to Portland, Maine where we visited Ft. Williams Park and saw lighthouses.  It was so amazing; cold, but amazing none the less.  As my family sat in the car I braved the cold wind and took as many pictures as I could til I could no longer feel my fingers.   We also were able to take a ferry boat to Peaks Island, train to Boston visited two museums and ate some amazing seafood.   It was an awesome trip but surely we were happy to return to our beloved Idaho.

Other exciting news includes my recent collaboration with CissyLala creator of Socuteco clothing line to find a model and Brand Rep from the NW.   SoCuteco clothing is a unique Hipster style children's clothing line inspired by the fashions of Tokyo but hand made in California.  After a four week campaign photographing local children ages 2-6 years old we discovered Yaretzi!   Her style and attitude paired up with SoCuteco clothing was perfect.  Congratulations to Yaretzi for winning!    Socuteco and I are pairing up again to find another!  Keep an eye out for more information on this model search.

That's all I have to report for now but I wanted to remind you that all of my landscape photos are available for sale.   Contact me to order!

Thank you for your support!

Lisa Turner
